"The Mets will have two new corner infielders for the start of their three-game showdown with the Nationals. Lucas Duda is dealing with a sore back that will keep him removed from the Mets' starting lineup for at least the first two games of the series, and David Wright was a late scratch from the lineup. Wright, who suffers from spinal stenosis, had his back flare up. Duda incurred stiffness in his back near the completion of the Mets' 11-game road trip, according to manager Terry Collins, and received a shot for the discomfort. 'He's pretty sore today,' Collins said Tuesday of the first baseman. 'He and I talked today, and it's just not worth the risk with the weather the way it's going to be tonight -- it looks like it's going to be damp and cool.'
