"They ended the season in last place, but the Philadelphia 76ers were the first to snag a patch sponsorship for their jerseys. The NBA team announced on Monday that StubHub will become the first sponsor to have an ad on the jersey of any team in the four major US sports. The deal, reportedly worth $5 million a year, will have the StubHub logo appearing as a 2.5-by-2.5-inch patch on the front left of Sixers’ game jerseys. It’s the first such sponsorship inked after the NBA approved a three-year pilot program last month. StubHub president Scott Cutler told The Post that his eBay-owned ticketing firm had been negotiating the deal even before the program received approval.
