"One of the heroes of the 1980 'Miracle on Ice' game is ready to part with some prized possessions from the historic upset. But owning a piece of U.S. sports history will certainly not come cheap for the expected buyer. Former U.S. Olympic hockey goaltender Jim Craig is selling off a number of artifacts from the 1980 Lake Placid games, including his gold medal, the jerseys he wore in victories over the heavily favored Soviet Union and Finland and the U.S. flag that he draped around his shoulders following Team USA's title win. The total collection, consisting of 17 items, is being offered through the online auction house and is expected to net between US$5 million and $7 million.
