Newsclip®: [Sports] Preet Bharara lands high-profile insider trading case | New York Post

"He’s back. Severely hampered in his pursuit of insider trading on Wall Street by a 2014 court case, Manhattan US Attorney Preet Bharara on Thursday showed financial pros he still has game. Despite having to climb a steeper evidentiary mountain, the hard-charging prosecutor announced insider-trading charges against Las Vegas high roller Billy Walters and former Dean Foods Chairman Tom Davis. It is the highest-profile case Bharara has brought since a Manhattan appeals court in December 2014 ruled the government had to show the trader who got a tip knew the tipper got a personal benefit from the info. “It has had an impact on our investigations and there are offices, including mine, that have come to the view that there is conduct that we think is nefarious,” Bharara said during a press conference in his downtown offices. “It undermines the faith of the market, it undermines the fairness of the markets, and we will not be able to prosecute,”",
