"Normally, only catchers have to worry about playing day games after night games. David Wright, though, is clearly not in a normal situation. The third baseman didn’t play again in Friday’s 3-2 win over the Brewers as the Mets attempt to protect his back as much as possible while also keeping him productive. Lately, nothing they have come up with has worked. Wright has reached base just six times in 31 plate appearances, with three hits, a double, three walks and a whopping 15 strikeouts.
